Hybrid liquid-cooled zone
Liquid capture can remove part of the rack heat close to the source while a residual air system still serves the rest.
How it works
Split the heat path between a liquid loop and room air, then size controls, pumping and heat rejection for the actual split.
Where it fits
Mixed estates, accelerating rack density, and staged adoption of rear-door or direct-to-chip systems.
Where it breaks
The residual air load, water quality, leak response, controls or facility heat-rejection boundary are omitted.
Tradeoff register
- Reduces air-side burden
- Supports denser zones
- Introduces liquid interfaces and another operating regime
Interactive teaching model
This card connects to the cooling lab. Its output is a bounded calculation or an illustrative directional model, not measured site data or a commissioned design result.
