Independent A/B fabrics
Dual-attached endpoints gain useful resilience only when fabrics, border paths, controls and change processes preserve independence.
How it works
Connect eligible endpoints to separately defined network paths and make the workload or host behavior use them correctly.
Where it fits
Services whose recovery objective justifies independent connectivity and tested failover behavior.
Where it breaks
Both fabrics share a border, management plane, carrier handoff or human change that can remove them together.
Tradeoff register
- Survives selected path failures
- Duplicates ports and operating work
- Application behavior can remain a hidden dependency
Interactive teaching model
This card connects to the network lab. Its output is a bounded calculation or an illustrative directional model, not measured site data or a commissioned design result.
