Open Rack interface
Open Rack integrates mechanical, power and cooling interfaces for compatible gear, but it is a distinct ecosystem rather than a drop-in label.
How it works
Use the published rack, equipment-bay, busbar and optional cooling interfaces as a coordinated hardware platform.
Where it fits
Scale deployments able to standardize compatible IT gear, rack power and service workflows around the open specification.
Where it breaks
Compatibility with existing 19-inch equipment, power, manifolds or facility logistics is assumed rather than verified.
Tradeoff register
- Integrated rack-level interfaces
- Open specification ecosystem
- Migration and equipment compatibility need explicit planning
Interactive teaching model
This card connects to the rack lab. Its output is a bounded calculation or an illustrative directional model, not measured site data or a commissioned design result.
