Modular UPS blocks

Modular power blocks can align capacity with load growth, provided the frame, controls and bypass are not mistaken for independent modules.

How it works

Add parallel conversion modules inside a coordinated UPS system so capacity or component redundancy can grow in smaller increments.

Where it fits

Phased facilities where load ramp, maintainability and spare-module strategy are explicitly managed.

Where it breaks

Shared frames, controls, batteries or bypass paths are omitted from the claimed failure boundary.

Tradeoff register

  • Smaller capacity increments
  • Potential part-load benefits
  • Shared infrastructure can remain a common mode
